Prior to starting a project, J. Hegan Interiors collaborate with you to determine how you imagine your perfect home should function and flow. Recommendations for floor plan layouts, wall spacing, materials, and lighting ideas will be drawn up based on these requirements. Understanding your unique vision is paramount to a successful collaboration and we’ll work with you to select the right color palette, finishes, furnishings, and artwork — those special touches and details that make a home “your” home.
New construction and remodeling
Having an experienced project manager oversee your construction or remodeling project can make the difference between a good experience and a regrettable one. The details can be onerous: Putting the work out to bid, hiring contractors, scheduling, overseeing work on-site, budget tracking, approving the completed work and providing regular updates on progress are just some of the tasks that J. Services include providing venue options, choosing vendors for decor, catering, entertainment, floral arrangements and photography. We can also arrange hotel accommodations and coordinate travel and transportation for your entire party.

How do I find the right designer?
The right designer can interpret your project goals and make them into a reality. You should research different designers’ work online and then set up a short phone interview with those that you prefer. The interview is the time to determine if your visions align. Discuss your goals, budget, and time frame. If you feel relaxed and inspired by what the designer says then it may be time to set up an in-person meeting.
The right designer should understand your needs and be your best advocate whether advising you or interfacing with vendors, during the decision process and throughout the entire project.
How much does it cost to work with an interior designer?
The scope of your project will determine the final design costs. Some designers work on a project basis and some work on an hourly rate. During your initial telephone conversation that should be discussed.
I like to explain, very briefly, my fee structure during the initial phone conversation. During that call, I gather the information that helps me develop a proposal to bring to our first meeting.
